AGCO:  it's skirting
the law

For a law-enforcement agency, the AGCO is making some shady moves. Under the Labour Relations Act, OPSEU is the representative you chose to bargain your collective agreement.

AGCO has an obligation to deal with the union, not to bargain directly with its members.

It’s letter to all staff, distributed without any reference to the union’s response to its offer, is on the very edge of the law. OPSEU is considering whether to lay another unfair labour practice charge. We’ll base our decision on whether it will help us get a better contract.

We’ve always had a mandate to settle a good contract. We all know that. Nobody wants a strike. We don’t need management telling us how to bargain.

(For the record, at least chiropractic coverage has been "scaled back" despite the message from the Chief Executive Officer. Maybe his neck isn’t as out of joint as ours – or maybe

OPSEU's the union.
We're here to bargain
