Let's talk about
the pay...
Youve seen the offer from AGCO. Its
deceptive. They highlight salary adjustments on April 1 1998 and Jan. 1, 1999, then say
nothing will be retroactive.
And:
Theres still no pay grid.
You still cant grieve that you are not paid
properly.
Its still not enough.
These are the people who just gave their CEO a whomping big
35 per cent raise. Hes pushing $170,000 a year. So how does 2 per cent look to you
now?
You bargaining team turned this offer down. Why?
Theres a better one to come.
Why are those "retroactive" dates there if there
is to be no retroactive pay?
Were working hard to get you the contract you
deserve. And we havent seen it YET!
