AGCO strike settled
Members of the Local 565 at the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario have ended a five-week strike with ratification of a new two-year agreement.

Under the first contract, they receive wage increases of 5.3 per cent and modest job security.

"It’s a first contract, and a base to build on," said Local 565 president John Worton.

OPSEU President Leah Casselman said the group had waged a valiant battle against an intransigent employer. "We’ll be back again to build on this agreement in two years’ time." She said.
