Staff of the Ontario Property Assessment
Corporation will take a strike vote April 19.
Delegates to the OPSEU convention from OPAC held a
meeting on Friday to get a full report on bargaining. They solidly
backed the bargaining team’s position that a strike vote is
necessary to get bargaining moving.
In a two-hour meeting, representatives of most
OPAC offices expressed the view that the current employer offer is
unacceptable. They agreed that a strike vote would give the
bargaining team a stronger hand at the bargaining table. Without it,
a decent contract is not in the cards.
A series of issue sheets has been prepared, and
more will be issued in the near future. We want you to be well
