PRIVATIZATION FIGHTBACK

NUPGE delegates back privatization fight

June 20, 2010 Public sector trade unionists from across Canada have pledged their full support  in OPSEU's fight to stop the sell-off of Ontario Crown corporations by the Liberal government of Dalton McGuinty. Today in Vancouver, delegates to the triennial convention of the National Union of Public and General Employees voted unanimously to tell McGuinty to back away from plans to sell all or part of the LCBO, Ontario Lottery and Gaming, Hydro One, and Ontario Power Generation.

Denise Davis, chair of the OPSEU Liquor Board Employees Division, addresses delegates at the NUPGE Convention in Vancouver today.
