Demands Tabled
Bargaining team meets with employer
Your bargaining team met with the Employer in
Toronto on Feb. 10-11 to table our demands for this round of bargaining.
We next met with the Employer in Toronto Feb.
25-27 and called in Ann Wallace, OPSEU pay equity negotiator, to provide us with
additional advice on this issue.
The third meeting with the Employer took place
in Ottawa, Mar. 10-12 for a continuation of talks on non-monetary issues. We
will meet with the employer again in Ottawa on Mar. 24-26 to continue
bargaining.
The proposals we have tabled reflect the
importance we place on the health and safety of all members and to promote our
members’ level of workplace satisfaction. In short, our job is to protect our
members’ rights and the gains we’ve made in our Collective Agreement.
By now it should be clear to the Employer that
we will not be pushed around. We have come together from across Ontario to
participate in bargaining and we treat our responsibilities very seriously.
Together, we are confident we will achieve a settlement at all members can be
proud of.
Please check this website regularly for updates
in bargaining and circulate copies of Bloodletters to your colleagues.
Bargaining strength through your support!
